Stantron are pleased to announce the availability of a range of electric initiators, exploders, blasters and circuit testers for mining, quarry and general construction applications.

The current range comprises:

  1. Beethoven MK 40 Exploder. The MK 40 Exploder by Arbra is a rechargeable battery exploder to fire electric detonators connected in series. It’s made of a high impact moulded case and uses sliding billet brass terminals. A separate charger and charging cable are included.

  2. BlasterOne Buzz Box BB-75 Exploder. The Buzz Box BB-75 is a compact high-energy capacitive discharge blasting machine capable of initiating a minimum of 75 electric detonators (tested through 340 ohms). Bridge wire and firing line continuity is testable through the integrated haptic (tactile feedback) circuit tester with redundant LED. Intrinsic safety features include automatic abort, internal shunt, boot-protected switches, touch- proof output terminals with downward facing inputs, and fuse protected testing circuit.
  3. DO 2000 Ohmmeter. The DO 2000 Ohmmeter by Arbra is a portable Ohmmeter designed to safely test shot firing circuits without the danger of pre-initiation. Resistances up to 1999 Ohms may be measured. It is made using surface mount technology package for all its electronic functions. It has a self-setting zero and a low battery warning.
  4. Schaffler DIGOHM. The Schaffler DIGOHM is an approved digital circuit testing ohmmeter which may be used to test individual bridge wire detonators, firing lines and whole firing circuits.
  5. ZEB DZ3 Ohmmeter. The ZEB/DZ3 may be used to measure the electric resistance of single electric detonators and completely wired ignition circuits for blasting applications.

NB: It is the shot firer’s responsibility to ensure that relevant legislation, standards and safety procedures are complied with.
