Description

Hamamatsu PSDs are optoelectronic position sensors that utilize photodiode surface resistance and provide continuous position data, high position resolution, and high-speed response.

Products include One Dimensional PSD such as S14241; s15430-03CT; S3931; S3932; S3274-05 etc. which have a long, narrow photosensitive area and detect positions in a longitudinal direction. One Dimensional PSDs are suitable for use in displacement meters and other high precision distance measurement applications, such as optical switches.

Two Dimensional PSDs such as S1880; S2044; S5990-01, S5991-01 are also available in double-sided and front-side segmented models. Double-sided segmented PSDs feature low position detection errors and excellent resolution. Front-side segmented PSDs offer high-speed response and low dark current.
