Avalanche Photodiodes or APDs are photodiodes with internal gain produced by applying a reverse voltage. They typically have high signal to noise ratios, fast response time, high sensitivity and a spectral response range between 200 and 1150nm.

Si APD – Silicon APD featuring high sensitivity from UV to NIR (200 – 1100nm) ideal for low light detection at high speed. InGaAs APD – InGaAs APDs provide high near-infrared sensitivity for low light detection at high speed. Products include: the new G14858-0020AA, G8931-04, G8931-10 and G8931-20

APD Module – APD modules combine an APD with a low noise amp, high voltage power supply and temperature compensation circuitry in one package. Products include: C5658, C10508-01, C12702- range and C12703- range.
